Program Overview

We are proud to announce the 2nd Annual South Bay Womyn’s Conference, Weaving our Wisdom: from Roots to Wings on Saturday, March 9, 2013 inside the San José State Student Union.  The South Bay Womyn’s Conference partners SJSU students with community members to create a safe space for all ages that promotes learning, expression, and education. In order to unite community members of all genders identities, sexual orientations, ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds.

We welcome emerging and seasoned artists of all backgrounds and gender identities to submit their artwork for display during the South Bay Womyn’s Conference from 8:30am to 6:00pm on the top floor of the SJSU Student Union. Please read the rules and regulations below and complete the attached application.

Rules and Regulations

The Application Process

  • Applications are due on Monday, January 21, 2013.
  • Artist will receive notice regarding their application by Friday, February 8, 2013.

Type of Artwork Accepted

  • Artwork should be inclusive and empowering.
  • At this time we cannot accommodate sculptures or glass pieces for display on March 9th for safety reasons.
  • Artwork will not be for sale during the conference; we will have placards with your contact information if interested parties want to contact you.
