We are proud to announce the 2nd Annual South Bay Womyn’s Conference, Weaving our Wisdom: from Roots to Wings on Saturday, March 9, 2013 inside the San José State Student Union. We welcome educators, students, activists and community members of all backgrounds and gender identities to submit their workshop proposals for the South Bay Womyn’s Conference by Monday, December 10, 2012 for consideration.
This year’s theme, Weaving Our Wisdom: from Roots to Wings shall honor the intersection of shared experiences across generations, in hopes of strengthening the South Bay community.
Why Do We Support the American Cancer Society?
We know that supporting them will ensure that if you need someone to talk to anytime of the day or night, they’ll be there. If your friend is losing her hair from chemo, your mother needs a ride to treatment, or a loved one needs a place to stay when treatment is far from home, they will be there to help.
Here is what you can do:
Join our team and walk with us this October. We are always happy to have more members join the South Bay Womyn’s Conference team and participate in the fight against Breast Cancer. If you are interested you can sign up here.
Donate! While the walk is free to take part in every dollar makes a difference, so far the SBWC team has raised over $300 for Making Strides Against Breast Cancer but we know we can contribute more in the next month with your help.
Not sure either of these options work well for you? Then feel free to visit our Making Strides page and like us on Facebook or share the event on Twitter.
Date: Saturday, October 27th
Location: Guadalupe River Trail & Arena Green 352 West St. John Street, San Jose.
